Halloween Celebration, 10.30.2025
We want to encourage students to have spirit and to make learning fun. However, we want to ensure that these celebrations do not distract others from their learning and do not interfere with each student accessing their instruction for the day. We are providing you with the guidelines for any costumes students may choose to wear on Thursday. Please note, that if a costume is deemed to be outside of the following guidelines, students will be required to change.
In support of our November Food Drive, we encourage students who choose to dress up for Halloween to donate one dollar ($1+) or bring a canned or non-perishable food item. The November Food Drive will support families during the upcoming weeks. As some of you may know, due to the current government shutdown, many families will not receive the November supplemental grocery funds. Your contributions will make a meaningful difference for members of our community.
Guidelines:
Student costumes should be school-appropriate for the content and should be within the dress code.
Please note that Cultural Appropriation will not be tolerated. Cultural appropriation is the act of borrowing or imitating elements of a culture without understanding or appreciation and has no place in our community. We stand firmly against actions that trivialize, stereotype, or exploit aspects of any culture.
Costumes cannot include:
Weapons—either fake or real
Masks that cover the eye area of the face or the entire face (this does not include masks worn for health and safety)
Elements —real or fake—that would be illegal for a student under 18
Elements that impair a student from completing work (e.g. gloves that prevent typing)
Elements that detract from others’ learning (e.g. costume makes noises or is too large to fit in one seat)
Use of fake blood (as this can stain)

Siempre queremos alentar a los estudiantes a tener espíritu y hacer que el aprendizaje sea divertido. Sin embargo, queremos asegurarnos de que estas celebraciones no distraigan a otros de su aprendizaje y que no interfieran con el acceso de cada estudiante a su instrucción del día. Queremos brindarle las pautas para cualquier disfraz que los estudiantes puedan elegir usar el Jueves. Tenga en cuenta que si se considera que un disfraz está fuera de las siguientes pautas, los estudiantes deberán cambiarse.
Para apoyar nuestra colecta de alimentos de noviembre, animamos a los estudiantes que se disfrazen de Halloween a donar un dólar o traer un alimento enlatado o no perecedero. La colecta de alimentos de noviembre apoyará a las familias durante las próximas semanas. Como algunos de ustedes ya saben, debido al cierre gubernamental actual, muchas familias no recibirán los fondos suplementarios para comestibles de noviembre. Pautas:
