Letter from North Side High School Alumni Association President Isaac S. Solano

Dear Viking Alumni,

My name is Isaac S. Solano, and it is a pleasure to be communicating with you today as the North Side High School Alumni Association President.

Isaac S. Solano headshot

I am a Globeville native, and 2009 graduate of Denver North High School. Currently, I am 4th year Ph.D. Candidate studying Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Denver. In the past, I have earned degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A.-Political Science), and the Teachers College of Columbia University (M.A.-Education Policy).

As an educational researcher, I have spent thousands of hours inside schools, classrooms and administrative offices both in New York City and across the Denver Metro Area. Education and serving public school students, families and teachers truly is my passion and life calling. In fact, I credit my amazing education from my North teachers as the reason I have been so successful since I graduated from the halls of 2960 N. Speer Blvd.

As president of our Alumni Association, I aim to create an inclusive environment where all Viking Alumni and Viking Friends feel welcomed at our school and each of the events the Alumni Associations hosts.

I would be remiss to not acknowledge and thank the leadership of two past presidents, Ray McAllister and Wally Ginn. These men have honorably led our organization and served our membership well. On behalf of Viking alumni everywhere, thank you both for your service and dedication to North Side High School.

I look forward to meeting many of you in person. Whether it is homecoming, our annual North High School birthday party, our annual Awards Dinner or at my favorite event, the All Class Reunion at Lakeside Amusement Park.

It truly is the honor of a lifetime to serve my favorite alma mater.

Humbly and Respectfully,
Isaac S. Solano
