North High School is excited to announce its new Dual Language One Way Program. The goal of this program is to foster bilingualism, biliteracy, enhance the awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity, and promote high levels of academic achievement through instruction in two languages.
The Dual Language Program believes that every student can be career ready if we leverage the knowledge they bring to North to create bilingual and biliteracy students with the skills to succeed in any career of their choice. We do that by following our values of rigor, teamwork, accountability, and kindness. We are committed to provide opportunities and information for all the Dual Language Students to close the achievement and opportunity gaps because we know that when they do well in their native language, they excel in English and any other content.
The program is available to our incoming 9th grade Native Heritage Spanish speaking students identified for MLE programming and services.
