ANNOUNCING NEW VARSITY BOYS SOCCER COACH, TREVOR TOM

February 5, 2024 (Denver, CO) –   Denver North High School is excited to announce the hiring of Trevor Tom to lead the North High School Boys Soccer Program.  

Coach Tom has a wide range of coaching experience. He has coached at the high school level 23 seasons (boys and girls), has been involved in club soccer (18 years), and has been a college soccer coach (3 years). Throughout those experiences he has led his teams to multiple championships.  With a daughter on the way, Coach Tom and his wife relocated to Denver from California in 2017 to be closer to family. In his spare time, Trevor enjoys all of the active outdoor lifestyle that Colorado has to offer.

Coach Tom’s statement after accepting the head coaching position:  “Our vision for the North Soccer program is to create tradition and define what it means to be Viking. We will  compete with character. As individuals and as a team we will be a positive representation of the school and community. We will rise to challenges, overcome adversity, and reach our potential.” 

North High School Director of Athletics, Rob Harrison, is excited about what Trevor  will be bringing to the table for the soccer program. “We are ecstatic that Coach Tom is joining our coaching staff. We believe he exemplifies the qualities that North Athletics want to represent. The committee was impressed by Trevor’s soccer knowledge and his history of creating a team atmosphere within his program. I have full confidence that he will teach our athletes what it takes to be successful both on the field and in the classroom. He will lead our athletes to work hard and respect the program, while putting a competitive team on the field.”

Current students, future students, and their families are invited to an informational meeting where Coach Tom will be introduced and go over details regarding the program on February 12, @ 5:30pm in the North Lecture Hall.
